Text Box: Who can make a referral?
Anybody can make a referral. Students, teachers, parents, and coaches. If somebody has a genuine concern about somebody, we want to know about it.

How do I make a referral?
Simply express you concern to a member of the F.A.S.Team. You can do so by speaking directly to the team member, or by filling in a referral form and delivering it to a team member. Be sure to maintain confidentiality. Our concern is the health and safety of the students.

Is this referral going into my file?
NO. The referrals are kept under lock and key with the F.A.S.T. members. There is no relation to your school file. The only time something would be put into your school records would be if there was an incident at school that had to be dealt with by the principal. We will not share any F.A.S.T. related information about students with the administration team.

How do I know my friend will not find out I made a referral?
Referrals are always kept confidential. We will never share where we received information. IF you are uncomfortable, you do not even need to put your name on the referral form if the referral is received in person.

When should I make a referral?
Any time you have a genuine concern. If you are worried about a friend or peer, it is time to make a referral. Take a look at our referrals page for more specific examples.

Will my parents find out?
Initially, no. The F.A.S.Team will not contact your parents on a level one intervention. However, parents will be contacted on a level two intervention. See our interventions page for more details.
