Character-Education

Tribes (PK-12)

In the year 2000, Carol Morgan School adopted the Tribes Program as the school wide character education program, and all teachers and assistants were trained.  Each August, new staff members are trained in the TRIBES process to maintain program consistency, PreK-12.

The TRIBES process creates a caring and supportive, community-like environment dedicated to positive expectations and active participation for students and staff. Throughout the process, teachers and staff use collaborative skills and strategies, which ultimately give students a sense of belonging, a sense of value, and a sense of motivation. The program, promoting resilience among many other things, is especially good for international schools because of the need for kids to be resilient when living overseas.

TRIBES is not an “add-on” program; it is at the core of our values. It incorporates sound teaching practices and research, in which strategies are integrated into student lessons.
