Head of School’s Welcome
Rhonda Norris (August 2015 - present)
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Carol Morgan School community website! We are pleased to share our school with you.
Each August, CMS opens our doors to around 1,100 students with this year being our 82nd year of offering enriching learning opportunities for our students. We are committed to and focused on our vision, Founded in Integrity, Focused on Learning, ensuring that every student is engaged in rich learning experiences in academics, activities, athletics, and the arts, while giving through community service.
Prospective families, we understand that selecting a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make and Carol Morgan School looks forward to the opportunity to support you in that decision. Please visit our Admissions page as well as our Learning pages and our News Flash blog to learn more about the learning experiences for CMS students.
Current families, we appreciate our daily partnership in support of your children and our students. We encourage you to keep up to date using our website as a resource and tool as well as sharing as we celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our students.
CMS is fortunate to have passionate and inspirational staff who enjoy engaging and challenging our students as well as being an integral part of our school community. Our school is also fortunate to have a dedicated and committed volunteer Board that collaborates for many hours every year ensuring the school's financial and strategic direction. In addition, we collaborate with many partners including our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), our alumni, and corporate community members to ensure the most engaging learning opportunities for our students.
CMS has a rigorous, standards based curriculum infused with cutting-edge technology and whole child support for students and their individual development through our Optimal Learning Center, Tribes, Kelso's Choice, Activities, Arts, and Athletics. We have made a commitment to embracing students as individuals and supporting their personal needs and differences. In addition, we balance our English language delivery approach with respect for a multi-lingual learning environment that embraces and supports the home country language of our students.
At CMS, we strive to balance between the importance of the experience today with preparing our students for the unknown of tomorrow. In these efforts, CMS utilizes and allocates resources to support the interests and passions of our students and ensures our facilities are evolving to support these ever-changing student learning opportunities. To enhance our available resources for these experiences, we welcome your support and contributions through our Building the Future Together campaign. Please see the Development section in our website to learn how you can make a difference in the education of our students today and into the future!
We hope our website is helpful and informative and you believe, like we do, that Carol Morgan School is an amazing learning environment for us all.
