Development Office

The role of the Development Office is to conceive, promote and implement ongoing and special programs to generate financial support and volunteer involvement, and to insure the development of an informed and supportive constituency and public.

During the school year 2011-2012 the Development Office, Development Committee and Alumni Association Committee have worked closely to uphold current programs that move us closer towards the next step in our master plan which is a whole new Athletics Facility and a Fine Arts Complex with a 600-seat capacity theater.  This project, like our state of the art Library / Technology Center and Cafeteria will be possible with the engagement and support of our constituents.  The Brick Project and the Naming Project are also part of the ongoing fundraising campaigns of the School that will guarantee our constant growth in order to keep on improving our infrastructure and providing our students with an exceptional learning environment and resources.

FUND RAISING PROGRAMS

Building the Future Campaign:  This is a major fundraising program geared to collect funds to build school facilities in order to provide our students with the best opportunities in the fields of academics, art, technology and sports.  This campaign involves the Naming Project and the Brick Project.  Click here to view the Build the Future Poster (pdf).

Leave a Mark…Buy a Brick: This campaign started in March 2008.  Engraved bricks are being sold to the community in two sizes 4"x8" and 8"x8", with amessage, the names and graduating classes of the students or alumni or just a favorite quote.  These bricks are being placed in front of the MS-HS Library main entrance.  As of June 2012, we have sold 332 bricks.  During school year 2011-2012 we sold 14 new bricks for an income of US$2,800. You too can support us, Click Here for Order Form (pdf).

Naming Project: The entire CMS community, as well as Dominican and International companies, is welcomed to name one of the rooms available in honor or in memory of an individual or entity for life. Classmates are also invited to come together and sponsor a room under the name of their class.  This school year we have want to thank the Leon Rivera Family for sponsoring our Bohio. During this school year we collected US$15,650 corresponding to pending balances of the HS Computer Lab sponsored by our BOD 2009-10 and the first payment for the sponsorship of the Bohio.

Alumni Giving Annual Fund: Our alumni are able to support their school by making small donations every year.  Even though the amount raised so far is only US$2,070, we look forward to see this fund grow as alumni commit to support the advancement of their alma mater.

Make a Pledge: The generous support of our constituents every year goes to benefit the most important part of your community…our students.  This school year we received individual contributions from pledges for a total amount of US$10,000.
