YOUR COMMENTS AND IDEAS ARE SO IMPORTANT TO US AT CMS!     Dear Parents,   Below you will find the link to the 2012-2103 CMS Parent Surveys. Choose the language you want to use and follow the directions if you have more than one child in the school.   The surveys this year will look a bit differently from last year as we will be aligning our programs to the 12 standards ...

Dear Parents and Students,   “With June here, you can feel the heat of summer in the hallways. Days are longer, attention spans are growing shorter, and everyone is ready for a break. Children are ready to shrug off the mantle of "student" for the three-month break.  But just because school is out, it doesn't mean that reading and learning should stop. Teachers know that many children can't afford to take such a long break. Young readers who don't continue to read over the summer are likely to lose crucial ground. One summer off can sometimes...

Dear CMS, The Copa Coca-Cola soccer team had an amazing season, being crowned champions of Santo Domingo in this prestigious tournament. In the national final, unfortunately, they were defeated 2-0 by Jarabacoa. This is the farthest the CMS Copa Coca-Cola team has ever reached in this tournament, and should be very proud of themselves! Please congratulate Coach Avelino and the boys the next time you see them.   The CMS JV and Varsity Boys Soccer and Girls Basketball teams recently competed in the Season 3 CAISSA tournament here at CMS.  I a...

Marc has taken the many life challenges that he has had to surpass - from a birth defect called Hirschsprung's disease that left him with almost no working intestine, to the many surgeries he endured to correct the problem, to his diagnosis with Tourette's syndrome, a neurological disorder that causes him to make involuntary motor and vocal tics. Along the way, Marc had to deal with how others reacted and trea...
