The Health Office Welcomes Your Updates
Dear CMS community:
The present communication is to motivate parents of CMS students to feel in the liberty to communicate any change in the medical condition of their child as well as any medical event that has occurred in the time period between updates of the health forms.
New events should be reported personally in the Health Office with a document describing the new health condition of the student as it was diagnosed by the medical specialist.
In addition, we would like to inform you that based on the Health Office Communication protocol approved by CMS and used for a numbers of years, the medical doctors will contact the parents by phone call in the following situations:
B. COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
Situation that merit a telephone call to parents:
Emerging Illness (Colds, Strep throat, ear infections)
Contagious illness (Lice, Chicken Pox, Impetigo, Pink Eye)
Traumas (moderate to severe trauma: examples; fractures, sprains, hematomas, contusions, lacerations that require sutures)
Loss of consciousness
Permission to use unauthorized medication
Rashes of unknown Origin
Recurrence of symptoms after medicated with authorized medication
At Parent’s request.
