This is an opportunity for you to review your child’s Individualized Educational Plan (IEP) goals and discuss his or her progress in the resource room. This meeting is an opportunity for you to provide some input and share some of your concerns and hopes regarding your child.

New Spanish Books in the Library!
Our Spanish Librarian, Ms. Dorcas Aybar, has placed on display several of our new arrivals. These reflect the Carol Morgan Schools commitment to providing a fully-integrated bilingual education for its students. Plus, they are great reads! Come check them out!
Exhibition of Dominican Geography
Ms. Carmen Gil’s Dominican History class displayed mock-ups of the major mountain ranges which crisscross the country. Other students were able to view and comment on these projects throughout the week.

Helping Hands
Congratulations to the visual arts students and staff. Despite the wet weather, many people came to the CMS pavilion to celebrate and purchase works of art created by CMS students. Helping Hands raised RD$55,000.00 and all of the money went towards Futuro Posible.

Student Government & STUCO
We are in the middle of our own election cycle this week as student government elections are in full-swing. We will have a special election assembly Friday, May 18th at 1:45pm where candidates for STUCO President will give their campaign speech. HS Musical

GREASE
We had four wonderful performances from our students, and some special staff guest roles, over a three day period to end the month of April. The show selection proved to be a great one as it brought together adults of all ages and students with timeless songs and storyline. We had 1,000 tickets purchased for the shows on Wednesday and Thursday night, while 500-600 students and guests were able to enjoy the shows on Friday. Kimi Pichardo and Jaymin Baird worked tirelessly, along with students, to make the production the best it could be....

HS Musical
The High School is performing the musical GREASE on Wednesday, April 25th and Thursday, April 26th in the school gym. This production is the PG rated "school version" of GREASE, so it is appropriate for all ages. Performances start at 7:00pm.
Tickets are on sale at the cashier, at the MS and HS offices, or from Ms. Baird. They will also be on sale the week of the show during MS and HS lunch time. The cost is RD $300 if you buy your ticket in advance or RD $400 if you buy it at the door the night of the show.

CMS - GIN
The Global Issues Network is an association that incorporates different schools throughout the world. Once a year student leaders meet in an international conference to present a global issue present in their home country, to offer an antidote to the same and so others may learn from and use in other places in the world.
