Poetry Alive Performance and Workshops

In honor of National Poetry Month, students from all divisions have enjoyed a number of large and small group poetry workshops and performances this past month.

Students had a wonderful time with the presentations from our 2018 Artist-in-Residence, Poetry Alive. With high-energy performances and interactive workshops, Poetry Alive provided students with a more in-depth exploration of literary analysis, as well as writing and speaking skills.

Poem in Your Pocket Day

We also celebrated Poem in Your Pocket Day on April 26 along with CMS Literary Arts.

Book Binder Poetry Contest

The MS/HS Library sponsored a Book Binder Poetry Contest from April 9th through 20th. Students and teachers were challenged to visit the library and use book bindings to build poems that were displayed on the first floor. At the end of the two week period (during the week of April 23rd) students "liked" their favorite poems and prizes were awarded to the top three.
