"Dance is your pulse, your heartbeat, your breathing. It’s the rhythm of your life. It’s the expression in time and movement, in happiness, joy, sadness and envy."
Dance is a fun and dynamic semester elective in which students have the opportunity to express themselves through movement. Dance is focused on the development of physical and creative skills through techniques and will provide students with the opportunity to work together in small choreographic numbers and dance improvisation. Participants will also learn about the different types of dance that exist historically and culturally. This elective will be fun for students as they learn to use their body as a means of communication and expression of art.
Classes take place in the Dance Studio, located in the New Multi Purpose Facility Basement, room D-110. However, throughout the year the students have the opportunity to perform in school-wide events on and off campus.
