Connecting and supporting our community

Community & Service Learning

We are developing a Service-Learning program through which our students can practice our core values. We respectfully connect with our community partners because we care and we want to have a better understanding of what is happening around us. With empathy, we approach community issues, working together to create collaborative partnerships that contribute to the goal of finding sustainable solutions.

The Service-Learning projects are designed by the students, based on what they have learned within the classrooms. After identifying a community problem or need that requires intervention, they follow the process of investigation, preparation, and action. The reflection goes all the way through the process and we finally celebrate the accomplishments and learning experiences.

Our community partners are diverse, including senior homes, small schools, orphanages, and a wide variety of national and international foundations. They are co-educators with us, helping our students to expand their creativity, and develop civic responsibility, leadership skills, community engagement, a character of service, and critical thinking.
